"Tonight We Dine"

Image
Just because we're living in an RV doesn't mean we have to be uncivilized! Noreen always makes sure our table is set. She truly is a classy lady. If we are out shopping and I lose her in the store, you can bet I will find her in the  housewares section hunting for that next special piece. We don't eat, We Dine!

Highway 78 Arizona 2 New Mexico

The view from the NM side at the top of the pass on highway 78 looking west back into Arizona. The road has strong warnings of "No vehicles over 40 ft". We weren't sure so we stopped and asked at a corner po-dunk store at Three-way. The clerk assured us that our 38 ft motorhome pulling our Honda CRV could make it. What a beautiful drive, a little steep, narrow and curvy, but no danger whatsoever. Highly recommended and pretty sure almost any RV can make the drive.

"The Villa"

You may have seen a post or two of our camping trailer "The Villa". But you have only seen the outside. Here is a glimpse of the inside. The previous owners had done a major remodel, taking the dark, brown interior and making it light and bright. We repainted the entire interior in the same colors they used. We also added a few trim accents, quarter round floor molding, new tile in the bathroom and an upgraded porcelain commode. A few other small touches, including a wine glass rack, spice rack and a couple accent light fixtures topped off the interior to our liking. "The Villa" is a 2014 Jayco 20MRB. It's main features are a murphy bed and a dinette slide out.

Our Truck Camper Shell Build

Image
If you are reading this, you may know that we're planning to head to Colorado for the summer.  Our part-time work schedule at Priest Gulch Campground allots us four days off in a row...yeah buddy, thus, the camper shell project! We intend to explore Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Northern Arizona for days at a time. What simpler way to do it then to just pull over and stay the night; this makes exploring affordable and should get us into some beautiful spots.  We didn't shoot any videos of the building process but, you get a good idea by the posted photos as it required an investment of days, labor, and love (for camping) for what we think will work for us.  More pics to come when we start using it! Have fun!
